Even Rolling Stone listed the hit as among the Top Songs of 2015. That same year she debuted her debut album Know It All, the track Scars to Your Beautiful ranked in the Billboard Hot 100 and Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200. The track was also one of the five original songs. Based on an interview she did with Rap Up, this particular song had a lot in the minds of many of the listeners who related to her tale of learning to accept and love your self. Cara's music is known to include messages of kindness self-love, self-love and mental wellness. The music she sings is reflective of her own struggles with insomnia and mental health. Reuters stated that she calls the album "half turbulent, and half finished". She claims she has grown by therapy and is adamant about encouraging other people to get help when they need it. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on July 11, 1996. At the age of 10 old, her parents bought her a guitar, which was the beginning of her passion for music. A few years later, at the age of 13 she started covering her most loved songs via YouTube one of the biggest media platforms to show the world that she possessed the talent skills and courage to become a professional singer.
