Angela Gossow Urach

Angela Gossow was born to Christian parents in Cologne, Germany, and had three siblings. She was 17 years old when her parents divorced. Their business was bankrupt, adding to her financial troubles. Being bulimic and anorexic contributed to her problems. Gossow was very straightforward in her explanation of why she decided to quit ARCH Enemy as their singer. She stated, "There's a place and the right time for everything." When I started, it was in 1991. I had lost the joy to be being a professional out on the road. It was much easier to stop than to continue playing. Johan Liiva was the original frontman of the band, Johan Liiva was replaced in 2000 by German singer Angela Gossow. The song was first recorded in the form of Australian vocalist John Farnham in 1986. The song quickly became a huge hit across Europe, including Ireland and UK.
